Nothing can prepare someone for the loss of a child. Each individual will grieve differently. Men and women will typically handle grief in very different manners. In the midst of tragedy, despair and loss, men are often required to step up and care for the others in his family, even though his heart his hurting just the same. These daddies silently grieve yet they often go on to care for and support other family members through and during times of loss. Patterns and outward displays of grief for men and women are different. Men may not feel the need to share every feeling or shed many tears, but make no mistake, they miss their loved ones all the same. Daddies grieve too.
