Bereavement Doula Support
Most importantly, doulas here are trained to support the grieving and bereaved mothers/families when an infant or baby loss occurs. A death is always hard, no matter when or how it may occur but the death or sudden loss of your baby is always tragic. For parents going through or facing loss or stillbirth, our doula will be able to visit with you at home or hospital, whatever you may need. Services our doula provides include assistance with baby funeral planning, in home or hospital ceremony planning, help for dealing with grief and help build a system of support.
When birth outcomes do not go as planned, when a family finds themselves dealing with an unexpected or sudden loss, our doulas provide emotional support for the grieving family. We will be with the family every step of the journey and continue to provide support for several months to come. Our bereavement doulas provide education about the various options that families may encounter when saying good bye to their precious child.
Bereavement services are provided free of charge to families who find themselves going through such a journey. Love offerings are appreciated but not expected and go a long way to help the next family/families.
