I’m working on a project that will hopefully become a book. I am trying to put together a compilation of stories from families of loss, specifically from families in our area.
What I’m looking for: Stories from families that have lost a pregnancy, infant or young child. I feel that new parents/families thrown into situations of loss will benefit from knowing that they are not alone and that others have been in the same place that they are now. If parents can see that others in their local area know what they are going through, they gain the courage to reach out and to allow others to support them during these awful times.
Your story can be one that tells your own situation, one that gives advice for families or a combination of both, it really depends on what you are comfortable with and want to share.
Length: Under 1000 words per story.
